Beach horse riding trail. Clare. Guided.

2 hours
Trek across beautiful County Clare to the Wild Atlantic Way. Then enjoy this beach horse riding trail at its best along the unspoilt Atlantic Ocean coastline! Min 1 Max 10 pax. Available March to October.

Live the dream and gallop along the sand and into the surf of Ireland’s rugged West Coast. We offer three different options for riders wanting to take part in a beach trek.

For the less experienced rider we offer a shorter 2-hour beach ride. We transport both you and your horse directly from the stables to the beach by truck. Once at the beach you can saddle up and ride onto the beach and trot and canter at your leisure.

A 4-hour option is also available which allows riders to trek out from the stable across the mountain to the beach. The trek from the stables to the beach takes about 2 hours depending on your pace and you can then ride onto the beach and spend the rest of the trek there. Transport is provided for both horse and rider back to the stable.

A full day beach trek, usually about 6 hours with lunch en-route is a further option. This treks out from the stables and heads towards the Burren, trekking the green roads to the beach and riding back over the mountain again to the stables.

The stables are located just a few minutes away from Doolin Cave and a short 10-minute drive outside the seaside village of Doolin, world famous for its traditional music and craic. Doolin is an ideal base for exploring what the west of Ireland has to offer. Situated on the Wild Atlantic Way, it is home to the shortest ferry crossing to the unspoilt Aran Islands, it is just minutes away from the Cliffs of Moher and is the perfect base for discovering the magical landscape of the Burren.
